As you all probably know, we didn't meet last night. The people who are going to Cornerstone had too much to get ready. So we are meeting tonight, as usual.

Sunday Not Monday

I think everyone has heard by now that we'll be meeting Sunday this week instead of Monday since all the girls are off to cornerstone.

Some things to think about.

We need to figure out a plan about the yard sale, so we can get that in the works and be ready for it when the girls get back.

I had a really good talk with Kyle Potter today about the barter economy. I'll share some thoughts about that tomorrow night.

We're going to karoake tonight to make fools of ourselves if anyone's interested!

hey all, i finally signed up...i know, i suck. anyway, i wanted to tell y'all that i dont think im gonna be able to make it monday night, ryan rasmussen, my best friend, is moving to colorado really soon, and i wanna see he and his wife and baby before they move...so i'm gonna be up in kokomo monday tuesday and wednesday. i think most everyone will be at cornerstone anyway. take care everyone!

Psalters

hello friends. i just wanted to let everyone know that the psalters will be at the kinny's home wednesday. here is the email with the information:
Just a note to let everyone know that we're planning to host the Psalters at our home Wed. evening at 6:30pm. They are planning to share a little music with us and hopefully some good times and conversation. The main course of dinner (hamburgers/ hot dogs) will provided but it would be great if you could bring some kind of side dish....please bring friends if you can, and children are very welcome...weather permitting Miranda's new playset should be installed by then and the kids are sure to have a good time with it....thanks, hope to see you THIS WEDNESDAY!Billy & Maria

June Fast

Dear Besties,

I was thinking about the next fast as far as the structure of it is concerned and what to talk/prayer/reflect on. Here's what I'm thinking for the time being.

Perhaps it would be helpful for us to begin identifying some components of our common life so as we fast and pray for wisdom and guidance we'll have some better direction to it all.

Most of us have come to know the faith through a very narrow paradigm through a window that almost exclusively focuses on personal salvation rather than a more complete picture that includes personal salvation, spiritual formation, and the work of building the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth.

Here's a list of some possible components that come to mind, it's not exclusive and can(should) definitely be added to. Some of these we already do, some we wont do for a long time.

Some possible components are worship, proximity, service, alternate economics, evangelism, discipleship, etc.
